The computer-based IELTS exam pattern is identical to the paper-based test, except for how you input your answers. In this format, you’ll type your responses for the Writing section and click answers in Listening and Reading. The Speaking test remains face-to-face. Many test-takers find the computer format convenient due to faster results and easier editing in Writing. However, you must be comfortable typing and navigating through the questions on a screen. Practicing with the computer-based format before the exam is recommended.
