A stroboscope is an instrument that produces a flashing light. The frequency of the flashing light can be adjusted, and when the frequency is synchronized with the speed of a moving object, the object appears to be stationary. This allows operators to see the object in slow motion and identify potential problems, such as misalignment or wear.
There are four main types of stroboscopes:
Fixed stroboscope: A fixed stroboscope is mounted in a fixed location and is used to inspect objects that are moving at a constant speed.
Portable stroboscope: A portable stroboscope is hand-held and can be used to inspect objects that are moving at a variety of speeds.
U-tube stroboscope: A U-tube stroboscope is a type of portable stroboscope that is shaped like a U. It is used to inspect rotating or reciprocating objects.
Stroboscope LED hand model: A stroboscope LED hand model is a small, handheld stroboscope that is powered by a rechargeable battery. It is typically used to inspect fast-moving objects, such as rotating machinery or reciprocating components.
